This course is suitable for new users and for more experienced users who have not attended a formal training course. You will need a working knowledge of substation, transmission and distribution operations and the maintenance/inspection requirements for those operational centers. The course also includes IT training on the back office operations and service configurations for people involved in daily business.
CA-04 CARE administrator training
This is a comprehensive course for CARE users responsible for the configuration of PI to Cascade data mapping and functionality.

- Point definitions
- Tag mapping - PI tags to Cascade equipment records
- Reliability pack definitions and coverage
- RPack planning strategies
You will be given the opportunity to apply your new knowledge of CARE software through hands-on examples and case studies.
CARE is an interface between Cascade utility asset management software and SCADA data collected by PI Historian. Mapping functions between PI tags and Cascade equipment initiates the application of reliability packs to bring critical online data into Cascade for use in triggers and trending.
Users responsible for designing the system to match your current needs on an operational basis as well as IT professionals who may be part of the Cascade/CARE administration team. It may include subject matter experts (SMEs) for detailed knowledge on specific equipment management, such as transformers, circuit breakers, etc.
